National flag

The civil ensign, bearing a black lion, is flown by non-naval ships with a crew partly from the Naval Reserve.[2] A vertical tricolour of black, yellow, and red defaced by a lion rampant, sable (black), armed and langued gules (red).
The flag hoisted by Belgian yachts registered in yachting associations approved by the Minister, also calle the "Belgian yacht ensign" three stripes placed vertically, black, yellow and red, of equal width; the black stripe is placed at hoist charged with a yellow Royal crown in the upper third of the black stripe
