English: An advertisement in the motion-picture trade magazine, The Billboard, promotes the appearance of Florence Lawrence (previously known as "The Biograph Girl). The film's producer, Carl Laemmle, had spread the false rumor that she was killed and then took out advertisements denying that rumor.
