No. 2678 was built 7/1880 as Stroudley class A1 No. 678 'Knowle', was rebuilt as an A1X 11/1911; it ran on the SR it as B678, was sent in 1925 to the Isle of Wight as W4, then W14 'Bembridge', returned in 1937 and loaned to the Kent & East Sussex line until 1954, finally ran as BR 32678 on the SR until withdrawn 10/63.
