English: The Berliner Tor in central Szczecin, Poland was built in 1725 by Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia to mark his acquisition of the city from the Swedes in 1719. It was designed by the French sculptor Barthelémy Damart. The Latin inscription on the gate records that he bought the city with a legal contract and for a fair price.
