English: The engine control panel of the Italian transatlantic flying boat Caproni Ca.60 Transaereo, now on display at the museo dell'aeronautica Gianni Caproni in Trento. The switches and lightbulbs on this panel were used by the pilots to communicate orders to the engine technicians (flight engineers) who stood close to the two engine groups (each composed of 4 Liberty L-12 engines) and actually controlled the power settings. Italiano: Il pannello con i controlli dei motori del Caproni Ca.60 Transaereo, esposto al museo dell'aeronautica Gianni Caproni di Trento. Gli interruttori e le lampadine su questo pannello erano usati dai piloti per comunicare gli ordini ai motoristi (ingegneri di volo) che si trovavano vicino ai due gruppi motopropulsori (ciascuno composto da 4 motori Liberty L-12) e controllavano direttamente la potenza da essi erogata. |
