Deutsch: Das älteste bekannte Siegel von 1290 zeigt bereits die Grundform des heutigen Stadtwappens. Der Turm, ein Hinweis auf Burg Eisenhardt, sowie der sächsische Rautenschild kennzeichnen Belzig als ehemals befestigte kursächsische Grenzstadt.
