English: Farringdon station The western pair of tracks are used by National Rail Thameslink services which operate between Bedford and Brighton. At this station, the changeover is made (passengers do not even notice) from the 25kV A/C overhead, used north of London, and the Southern 750V D/C third rail. Using these dual-fitted Class 319 trains, it only takes a few seconds.
