| Description |
English: An aerial view of Hamar, seen from the south-east. The bridges at the bottom of the photo lead across Åkersvika (part of the lake Mjøsa) to neighbouring municipality Stange. Near the bridges is the iconic Vikingskipet speed skating rink built for the Olympic Games of 1994. The city centre is today in the centre of the photo, while in medieval times it was located on Domkirkeodden, the peninsula shown at the top left side of the photo. On the right top center side of the photo the local airport is visible. |
