IT ORIGINALLY OPERATED AS A CAMP FOR UNDERNOURISHED CHILDREN PREDISPOSED TO TUBERCULOSIS. THE FERRWOOD MUSIC CAMP, OPERATED BY THE GREATER HAZLETON PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, OPENED IN 1969.
