„Dalīts pēdā ar izliektu griezumu: sudrabs un zalš. Augšējā laukā trīs sešlapu vizbulīšu ziedi izvietoti V burta veidā.“

Apstiprināts 2000. gadā.

Pagasta ģerbonī ir iekļauts pirmais augs no Latvijas pirmā botāniķa Jāņa Ilstera botānikas grāmatas – zilais vizbulis, kura krāsa simbolizē mūsu pagasta daudzos ezerus. Skici, kura tika apstiprināta Heraldikas sēdē Kultūras ministrijā, veidoja mākslinieks V.Ladusāns. Ģerbonis dalīts pēdā ar izliektu griezumu, apakšējā daļa simbolizē Vestienas zaļos pakalnus: trīs sešlapu vizbulīšu ziedi izvietoti V burta veidā uz sudraba fona.[1]

«В серебряном поле три лазурных шестилистных цветка печеночницы с золотыми серединками, выпуклая оконечность зеленая.»[2]

Герб волости утверждён в 2000 году. Художник - Владимирс Ладусанс.

Цветки печеночницы символизируют Яниса Илстерса - первого ботаника Латвии, уроженца Вестиены. Их лазурный цвет символизирует обилие местных озер, а их расположение 2:1 символизирует первую букву названия волости V. Выпуклая зеленая окнечность символизирует зеленые холмы.[2]
