Summary

Description These are the words written down after Johannes Lipperhey unsuccessfully requested a patent for the invention of the telescope back in 1608. Lipperhey is actually not automatically seen as the inventor of this revolutionary device. Zacharias Jansen might have been earlier, but he didn't request a patent.
