English: Old Grammar School, Middleton. Thomas Langley, Prince Bishop of Durham and Chancellor of England, rebuilt the Parish Church of Middleton - his home town - in 1412,at that time he endowed a charity school. This was the original foundation of Middleton Grammar School. The building was completed in 1586 - quite a delay!
