English: Picture of the Pennsalt Historic District in Natrona, Harrison Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. This picture was taken at the corner of Wood Street and Philadelphia Avenue, and the view is of Wood Street. There are some monuments on the corner, the building on the right was originally the Natrona High School; it later became Wood Street Elementary School, and is now apartments. The building on the left was formerly the Natrona United Methodist (Episcopal) Church, built in 1913. Also, one can see some former company houses on the left. Some houses are older than others, and the ones on Center Street looked particularly old. This area was originally built as a company town by the Pennsylvania Salt Manufacturing Company in the 1850s, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
