English: Arms of Peryam (Periam, Periham, etc) of Little Fulford in the parish of Shobrooke, near Crediton, and of Exeter, both in Devon: Gules, a chevron engrailed between three lion's faces or (Source: Pole, Sir William (d.1635), Collections Towards a Description of the County of Devon, Sir John-William de la Pole (ed.), London, 1791, p.496). Pole was married to Mary Peryam (1567–1605), one of the four daughters and co-heiresses of Sir William Peryam (1534–1604), of Fulford House, Shobrooke, a judge and Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer.
