Summary
| Description | Mound 9 (commonly called Saul's Mound) at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park near Pinson, Tennessee. Saul's Mound is 72 feet high, making it the second highest prehistoric mound in the United States. The mound's four corners are aligned with the four cardinal directions, and is situated at the center of a 400-acre complex that includes at least 17 smaller mounds. |
