English: Princess IV, April 1958. Originally launched as the "Austin Princess IV" in 1956, this model was rechristened "Princess IV" in August 1957 to allow it to be sold by both Austin and Nuffield dealers. The Illustrated London News, March 9 1957, page 2 has an Austin Motor Company advertisement for the "Austin Princess IV" whilst Punch magazine, November 6 1957 has a British Motor Corporation advertisement for the "Princess IV", the latter advising the reader to "Ask any Austin or Nuffield Dealer..." "Vanden Plas" is recognised as the coachbuilder of the car in the Illustrated London News advertisement, but the term is not included in the name of the car.
N.B. The colours of this car are upside down! They should be light colour on the sides, dark colour for the rest of the car.
