English: The infrared Rapid Scan (2.5 minutes a frame) animation presents the evolution of the eye-like feature on a polar low over the Sea of Japan, from 10:00:00 UTC to 15:57:30 UTC on February 10, 2017. Once reaching storm-force, the polar low brought unusually heavy snowfalls to Japan.
