English: Simonstown Museum, 4 Court Road, Simonstown - Built in 1777, the Residency has been the home of many of the town's colourful residents, ranging from postmasters to constables, crooks and ladies of ill repute. Today, visitors come here to learn more about Simon's Town's fascinating past: exhibits cover the late Stone Age until the forced removals of the 1960s. Some of them could do with a bit of sprucing up, but most visitors will be able to find a room in the house featuring a topic that interests them - be it the Early History Room with its hunter- gatherer dioramas and comprehensive exposition of the Battle of Muizenberg, the Military Room displaying artefacts from both world wars, or the more light-hearted Just Nuisance Room, featuring his royal dogginess's collar and newspaper clippings covering his antics.
