Description
English: Caption text says "Here is a snapshot of what Coach Alexander, of Tech, designated as the "smartest play" of the game. It was in the second quarter just before Tech made the first touchdown. Tech had the ball on Tulane's 35-yard line. It was fourth down with four to go. Mizell called for a punt and got back to kick it. But as he received the ball he saw that the right end of the enemy had cut in close, leaving an opening around his flank. So instead of punting Mizell ran with the ball around that end and made a first down. A few plays later Mizell threw a pass to Jones that scored a touchdown. In the picture above Mizell is shown starting his run after crossing up the enemy."
