Question from Heavenlydemon49 (10:17, 12 May 2025)

[edit]

Hi, I would like to add a biography of one person to Wikipedia. Can you help me with this? --Heavenlydemon49 (talk) 10:17, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Heavenlydemon49: Who do you want to write about? Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 21:37, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dr. Shams Tabrez Siddiqui, a dentist in Dubai Heavenlydemon49 (talk) 07:47, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Heavenlydemon49: Most dentists don't meet the notability guideline, which is the criteria for whether a topic can have an article on Wikipedia. On a quick Google search, I don't think there are sufficient sourcing (at least English-language sourcing) to support an article. If you do want to write about this, or another topic, I'd recommend reviewing Help:Your first article. Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 02:03, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Rahasabihanar (16:48, 28 May 2025)

[edit]

Hi there, if my submission got rejected, is there a process I need to follow or I simply edit the text and submit it again? --Rahasabihanar (talk) 16:48, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Rahasabihanar! On a quick review, I don't think you meet WP:NPROF or other applicable notability guidelines (yet). While there is the Philip Leverhulme Prize and involvement in notable organizations, importantly there does not appear to be sufficient coverage in secondary sources that would support the creation of a Wikipedia article. If the Philip Leverhulme Prize's description of recipients as people "whose future research career is exceptionally promising" is accurate, it might be worth checking back in a couple years. Thank you for the COI disclosure and for following community processes. Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 23:57, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
