Information icon Hi Bckidwellsings! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Tony Glausi that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Nicole Zuraitis, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 03:19, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the content to a different area. The content still exists, but it would have been repetitive. Bckidwellsings (talk) 04:08, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Nicole Zuraitis, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 03:46, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jeff Harnar, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Birdland and Jon Weber. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:54, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Bckidwellsings. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tarlby (t) (c) 16:46, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To add on to this @Bckidwellsings, I would suggest you use the proper template. If you want help give me a shout. It would look like the below. CF-501 Falcon (talk) 20:49, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
How do I add the template? I never meant to cause harm or to do promotion. I know a little more about computers than some and I was free. I was trying to only objectively add to the articles. I'm so afraid that I've hurt their articles because of my association. Bckidwellsings (talk) 00:12, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The important part is that you have recognized you have a COI and stopped editing those pages. Don't worry, if something seems promotional someone will clean it up. Their articles will be perfectly fine. If you want me to, I can add the template to your Userpage for you. CF-501 Falcon (talk) 00:32, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would appreciate that. Thank you. Bckidwellsings (talk) 00:41, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have done it to the best I can right now. You don;t have to keep any of the text, there is no need to say who they are to you, but if you want you can keep it. If you need any help let me know, I would be happy to help. Cheers, CF-501 Falcon (talk) 01:13, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
