New pages patrol January 2025 Backlog drive

January 2025 Backlog Drive \| New pages patrol
On 1 January 2025, a one-month backlog drive for new pages patrol will begin in hopes of addressing the growing backlog. Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Each article review will earn 1 point, while each redirect review will earn 0.2 points. Streak awards will be given out based on consistently hitting point thresholds for each week of the drive. Question from MALAWUOB on Economy of Lebanon (16:05, 28 December 2024)

Hello, I was attempting to create a subsection on the Lebanon Economy Page and I cannot see the subsections. I am worried if I was to create a subsection like so == Balance of Payments ==

In August 2024 Lebanon had ended its balance of payments deficit, earning a 2024 surplus of $5 Billion. ^[1]

I am worried it would be placed in the foreword/introduction.

And I have no idea what it would do the already existing subsections which disappear upon editing. It is a small addition which I think has merit, however it is small. And I want to follow correct practice. Please advise, and be kind this would be my first addition and I am very sensitive.

Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.

Technical news

The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
