Overwriting images
[edit]Whenever uploading a new version of an image, as you did at File:Oh, Canada poster.jpg, please make sure to update its description. Nardog (talk) 01:15, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Will do! Thank you for letting me know. Cinemacriterion (talk) 01:27, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- When? Note this is a legal requirement. It is simply unacceptable to upload images you didn't create and not attribute them. Nardog (talk) 06:34, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Better source request for File:Altered Minds Poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13 21:41, 10 November 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:The Black Sea poster.jpeg
[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:The Black Sea poster.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Jon L. Wanzek
[edit]Hi Cinemacriterion, I'm working to improve the neutrality of the Jon L. Wanzek article. I see that you have contributed to the articles of many films and filmmakers, and that you even edited Wanzek's film Ten Thousand Saints years ago. I hope you'll be interested in taking a look at the edit request I posted here: Talk:Jon_L._Wanzek #Edits_to_page.
Thanks so much, 1915Case65 (talk) 14:08, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

Edit summaries
[edit] Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Sdkb talk 22:28, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Hacks title card.png
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Hacks title card.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:20, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
