A couple redirects you reviewed

[edit]

Hey Bletering Scot, thanks for your work reviewing. I just wanted to note that I've nominated a few of the redirects you've reviewed for deletion, such as 2032 United States House of Representatives elections and 2030 United States House of Representatives elections. The reason I did, with these and some of the other nominations that I made, is because there's no relevant information at the target about these events. As such, the redirects are misleading and WP:TOOSOON. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:56, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Hey man im josh. Awww ok. For some reason I find that difficult to get in my head.Blethering Scot 14:59, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I did that myself for a while too, until I got more familiar with the norms at WP:RFD. They're reasonable reviews at first thought, because they WILL point to there *eventually*, they're just a bit too soon. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:00, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Hey man im josh. I have seen a few like Next Irish general election recently. Thoughts? I can see there usefulness in the short term, but it will be an ever changing redirect, which makes me think they are pretty useless.Blethering Scot 19:09, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Blech, those ones are such a pain to deal with. Essentially, what happens, is that they're useful for a while and typically not deleted at RfD until several months after an election (because people follow links), and with no new/better target being available. So, essentially, these redirects need to be a updated on a rolling basis. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:11, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
