Hi. Keen to update this page (no one listed from 2019), but struggling to source the data. I can't find any official lists so would be inclined to go off RLP project, only there's a bit of a discrepancy with the numbers. According to an NRL press release, the most recently capped player Lindsay Smith is #858. On RLP however, Smith is the last listed at #850, so they would appear to be missing several players? Jevansen (talk) 02:25, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
- RLP has some errors (e.g. Tom Tyquin's games for Australia are mistakenly listed as appearances by his brother Bill) and is still missing a few appearances for some games against rep teams. I'm not aware of a single complete list online, but you could probably work it out by looking up images of the players who have debuted since 2019 (e.g. you can see #833 on the Kangaroo jersey of Angus Crichton in his bio). - Yeah it's definitely RLP throwing the count off. We were in sync with official records as of 2012, which seems to be what our list was built off.[1] I've updated to the present day using match reports and images of player jerseys as suggested. Double checked against the RLP recent additions and they match, so all their data issues are for yesteryear players like the Tyquins. Clubs still need to be added to our list and match tallies will likely need updating for current players. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 03:24, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

Women's State of Origin
[edit]I think that coverage of the Women's State of Origin could benefit from being rearranged. There is duplication of the match details which are given on the main Women's article and the yearly State of Origin and Women's State of Origin articles, and also transcluded onto the NSW and Queensland team pages. I suggest the following:
- Women's State of Origin yearly articles: should contain full details for Women's and U19 Women's matches
- State of Origin yearly articles: Women's and U19 Women's matches can be transcluded here
- Women's State of Origin: match details from 2018 onwards are covered in yearly articles so can be removed, results from the Interstate Challenge era can be grouped under one section header and listed using "rugbyleaguebox collapsible". Women's U19 section from the main State of Origin article should be added here.
- State of Origin series: Keep brief summary, but remove tables of Women's results which are not needed as covered in separate article
- NSW and Queensland team articles: replace match details with a table of results as done for most other representative teams, and currently used in these articles for pre-2006 games. (when removing match details the team lists can be kept)
Before making any significant changes I thought it would be helpful to know what other people thought and if there are any suggestions for other ways these articles could be improved. EdwardUK (talk) 16:32, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
- Point 1: Yes, fully agree.
Point 2: I'd say a brief mention in prose and a link to the article similar to 2021 Men's Rugby League World Cup final, don't think there is a need for women's results here if separated articles exist for them.
Point 3: Don't really have an idea on the best way to improve but agree it needs improving.
Point 4: Agree, same justification as point 2.
Point 5: Yes, fully agree. Mn1548 (talk) 13:09, 19 May 2025 (UTC)- Point 2: My suggestion was based on articles such as the World Cups where there are separate articles for each group which, apart from the team lists, are almost entirely transcluded to the main article. However, I think you are right that for the state of origin articles a brief mention with a link to the article would be sufficient. (off-topic - would separate group stage articles still be needed if collapsible team lists were included in the main world cup articles?)
Point 3 (match details): For most matches played in the Interstate era there are clearly not enough sources to create separate articles and although the details could be included on the yearly articles covering the men's series, my thought was that as they were not played under the State of Origin banner then they could be seen as out of place there. Whereas they are clearly part of the history of the women's game so I think it could be appropriate to have a list of these matches on the Women's State of Origin article - the suggested formatting is simply because a lot of it can be done just by adding "collapsible" to the existing match details from 2006 to 2017.
Point 3 (U19s) and Point 4: I have already made the changes as these were fairly easy and I thought they would be unlikely to be objected to. EdwardUK (talk) 16:34, 19 May 2025 (UTC)- Re point 2 if its the "main article" its makes sense but I read that as the men's article as that's what 90% of it is and what is in the infobox. Plus that seems to be a more standard approach. For point three, as "list of women's interstate challenge results" could be an option. Mn1548 (talk) 18:05, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, a list article would work well – the equivalent of something like RFL Women's Championship seasons (2017–2023). In the Women’s State of Origin article, I feel the results would need to be condensed down as a list of 21 games could take up so much space they would overshadow the rest of the content, so this would be a good solution to that. EdwardUK (talk) 19:37, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- I have created the List of Women's Interstate Challenge results article (splitting from Women's State of Origin and then expanding it seemed the least complicated way). There are some missing results and team lists and scorers are incomplete, but if any sources are found for these they can be added. The match details have been removed from the Women's State of Origin article and there is a more detailed results table instead. On the yearly (men's) State of Origin articles the match details for Women and U19 Women have been replaced with brief descriptions and links to the yearly women's articles. Match details on the NSW women's team article have been replaced with a wikitable of results. I have left the Queensland team article mostly unchanged so far as I am unsure of how best to tackle this, but I have updated the transclusion links to avoid breaking the article. Also, I have converted the article on the Women's U18 Queensland team so that it now covers the U19 team instead. EdwardUK (talk) 04:46, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
