Redirect request: Khomeinist Iran

[edit]

Comment: The redirect might be useful, but Iran is an inappropriate target, historical countries follow different conventions to current country pages. It could direct to Khomeinism, but I am not sure if that is correct? and it being ambiguous whether that is the right page is another good reason to not have it simply redirect to Iran. 211.30.22.164 (talk) 08:05, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It can work. Red Poland redirects to the Polish People's Republic and "Khomeinist Iran" redirect is just a placeholder in the event of a political change that is about to happen in Iran. -- 174.89.40.214 (talk) 18:13, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Target of redirect: Samson Option
  • Reason: It is mentioned briefly on Samson Option in the section "Deterrence doctrine". The name isn't used there but it is used in the sources I have linked below. The plan is described variously as "a Samson option", "Operation Shimshon", and "it was codenamed Shimshon".
  1. The first link is the Hebrew name
  2. The second is a translation that's used in English
  3. The third is a Romanization of the first. The third is not used anywhere that I can find but it might be searched for, The spelling "Mivtsa" is used in Romanizations of the same word.on other pages about Israeli military ops. Shimshon is a name, so Romanized in both.

Redirect request: Finnish Continuation War

[edit]
  • Target of redirect: Continuation War
  • Reason: Alternate name, Adding "Finnish Continuation War" as a redirect helps users find the article more easily, especially those unfamiliar with the standard term. It’s a plausible alternative name, not misleading, and aligns with Wikipedia’s guidelines for helpful redirects.
