The 3rd Winter Maccabiah was an international winter sports sports event held from 1 January 2023 to 9 January 2023 in Ruhpolding, Germany.[1][2] Approximately 400 athletes from 20 nations participated in the games.[3] The 2023 Maccabiah Games came after a hiatus of 87 years in the winter edition of the Maccabiah.[1][2] The two previous editions were held in the 1930s: 1933 and 1936. Many of the Winter Maccabiah athletes were murdered in The Holocaust.
