- April 12 – Western Michigan beats Boston University 6–2 to win the 2025 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament, their first title.[2]
- May 8 – A mistrial is declared in the trial of former Grand Rapids Police Officer Christopher Schurr, who shot and killed Patrick Lyoya in 2022.[3]
