Abdeslam Bouchouareb (born 3 June 1952) is an Algerian politician who had serverd as a Minister of Industry and Mines of Algeria[1]
He was named in the 2016 Panama Papers leak.[2]
On 1 July 2020, Bouchouareb was sentenced to 20 years in prison on corruption charges.[3]
In March 2025, the French courts refused to extradite Abdeslam Bouchouareb to Algeria, believing that an extradition could have "exceptionally serious consequences" due to his health and age.[4]
