Adwaidh R (born 20 February 2000) is an Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and educator, best known for his expertise in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. Trained in multiple Indian classical dance forms, including Mohiniyattam, Keralanatanam, Odissi, Manipuri, and Kathak, he has performed extensively across India and is actively involved in dance education and choreography.

Early life and education
[edit]Adwaidh R was born on 20 February 2000 in Karunagappally, a town in the Kollam district of Kerala, India. He grew up in a culturally supportive family that encouraged his interest in the performing arts from a young age. His early exposure to Indian classical dance laid the foundation for his future career in the field.
He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Bharatanatyam at the RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura, in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Master of Performing Arts (MPA) in Kuchipudi at the University of Hyderabad.
Adwaidh has undergone formal training in:
- Kuchipudi under Geetha Padmakumar, a disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempatti Chinna Satyam
- Keralanatanam under Prof. S. Lekha Thankachi
- Odissi under disciples of Sujata Mohapatra
- Additional training in Mohiniyattam, Manipuri, and Kathak
Career

He is the founder and director of Nrithyabharathi Kalakshethra, a Kerala-based performing arts institution. With over six years of teaching experience, he has trained more than 100 students in Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and related disciplines.
Adwaidh has also served as a judge for various cultural competitions, including District Kalolsavam, CBSE Youth Festivals, and other regional and interschool events.

Artistic philosophy
[edit]Adwaidh R’s approach to dance is rooted in the principles of the Natya Shastra, while remaining relevant to contemporary audiences. His style emphasizes expressive storytelling, structural clarity, and aesthetic refinement. He draws significant inspiration from the Vempatti Chinna Satyam school of Kuchipudi, known for its sculptural poses, lyrical movements, and dramatic intensity.
His mission as an artist and educator is to preserve, promote, and reimagine India’s classical dance heritage for future generations. Through performances, lecture-demonstrations, and choreographic works, he continues to inspire students and audiences alike.
