Ali Shah (Persian: عليشاه)[a] is a city in the Central District of Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, Ali Shah's population was 2,649 in 706 households, when it was a village in Sis Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,751 people in 1,077 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,010 people in 1,002 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

Ali Shah was elevated to the status of a city in 2019.[6]
