Anne Shirley (Japanese: アン・シャーリー, Hepburn: An Shārī) is an upcoming Japanese anime television series produced by The Answer Studio and directed by Hiroshi Kawamata. Based on the novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, the series is set to premiere on NHK Educational TV in April 2025. A manga adaptation written by Hanako Muraoka and illustrated by Akane Hoshikubo began serialization in Enterbrain's B's Log Comic online magazine in January 2025.

A manga adaptation written by Hanako Muraoka and illustrated by Akane Hoshikubo began serialization in Enterbrain's B's Log Comic online magazine on January 5, 2025.[2]

Anime

The new anime television series adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables was announced on November 20, 2024.[3][4] The series is produced by The Answer Studio and directed by Hiroshi Kawamata, with character designs handled by Kenichi Tsuchiya. It is set to premiere on NHK Educational TV in April 2025, and will run for 24 episodes.[1]
