'Dr. Artem Mihailovich Levchin is a medical academic and the current Rector of Luhansk State Medical University, located in the Russian-occupied Luhansk Oblast.
Early life and education
[edit]Levchin was born and educated in Donetsk Oblast.
In 2002, he graduated from the Makeyevo Medical School (affiliated to Luhansk State Medical University) with a degree in General Medicine. In 2008, he graduated from Luhansk State Medical University with a bachelor's degree in pediatrics. In 2013, he completed postgraduate training in pediatrics at Luhansk State Medical University, and completed advanced training in pediatrics in 2015 at Rostov State Medical University. He defended his PhD thesis, Optimization of rehabilitation of children with recurrent respiratory diseases taking into account their immuno-biological resistance, in 2018.[citation needed]
Career
[edit]Levchin has served as Rector of Luhansk State Medical University since 2024. During his tenure, he has headed the children's city polyclinic No. 18 in 2018. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Levchin came up with and implemented "anti-covid" robot dummies that measure the temperature of patients and treat their hands with a disinfectant solution. In 2021, he headed the children's city polyclinic of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don.
He was an assistant at the Department of Children's Diseases No. 2.
