Azhar Iqubal (born 18 January 1992) is an Indian entrepreneur and the co-founder & CEO of a content distribution company inShorts. He is a judge and investor in Sony LIV's business reality show Shark Tank India.[1]

Personal life

Azhar Iqubal was born into a Muslim family in Kishanganj, Bihar, India, and brought up in New Delhi. He completed his schooling at a private school, and after schooling, began to prepare for the IIT JEE. In 2009, he passed the IIT JEE and was admitted into IIT Delhi to study BTech (Computer Science), but dropped out before completion.

Career

Azhar created the Facebook page "News In Shorts" with his college pals Deepit Purkayastha and Anunay Pandey. To develop his business, Iqubal decided to quit IIT Delhi in 2012 and, on 3 September 2013, Inshorts was introduced for Android.[2]

In December 2024, Azhar supported Zing, a 10-minute meal delivery app created by Rachit Sahi and Tarun Arora, the former COO of Inshorts.[3]

In January 2025, Azhar founded Fenado AI with Manish Singh Bisht, the former Head of Technology of Inshorts.[4]
