Characidium hasemani is a fish in the family Crenuchidae.[1] It is native to South America and is found in the northern tributaries of the Amazon River basin, Brazil.[1]
Size
[edit]This species reaches a length of 6.8 cm (2.7 in).[1]
Etymology
[edit]The fish is named in honor of American zoologist John D. Haseman (1882–1969), a field collector for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, who collected the holotype.[2]
