Dari Shechter Ben Artzi (born in 1986) is a designer, artist, entrepreneur, and creative director who is known for her work in commercial and private spaces, communities, and brand experiences. She was part of the founding team of ‘Mindspace’, a global coworking space, and worked as VP of Creative & Design. She is also co-founder of the ‘High’ community, a year-long program for a select group of female leaders. From 2019 to 2021, she lectured at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design on entrepreneurship in design, styling, and art direction[1][2][3]

Early Life & Education

Shechter was born in 1986 to Yoram and Hila, the owners of Shechter Group. Shechter Group has developed projects in Israel, including the Gain Hair Building & Mall in Tel Aviv, portions of Tel Aviv University, and the Har Zion Hotel in Jerusalem. When she was born, the family moved to London, where they lived until 1989, when they moved back to Tel Aviv.

Shechter graduated from Reichman University IDC, completed the Zell Entrepreneurship Program, and studied at Singapore Management University (SMU).

Career

Mindspace

In 2013, Shechter was part of the founding team of ‘Mindspace’, a global coworking space. Shechter worked at the company for nearly a decade, held the position of VP of Creative & Design.[4][5][6] Shechter built the global community and together with the company’s design team designed the brand's visual identity and workspaces in cities including Tel Aviv, Berlin, London, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Warsaw, and Bucharest.[7][8]

Mindspace Koszyki, designed under Shechter's creative direction, won the 'Coworking of the Year' award at the 2019 Property Design Awards in Warsaw.[9][10]

High

In 2015, Shechter co-founded the ‘High’ community, a year-long exclusive program for a select group of female leaders. The program consists of monthly events where each participant organizes exclusive and notable events for the community.[11]

Dari Creative House

In 2020, Shechter founded ‘Dari Creative House’, a studio for interior design, art direction, and space experiences. The studio’s projects include the redesign of ‘Miftan Alon’, a rehabilitative school in South Tel Aviv; Northern Wind, an art installation exhibited at the Haifa Museum of Art; And ‘The Tera Villa’, a Bauhaus-inspired private residence created with Levy Chamizer Studio;[12][13][14] She has also designed commercial spaces, boutique hotels, and private residences for public figures.[15][16][17]

Shechter's work has been published in Wallpaper,[3] Frame magazines, ELLE Decor,[2] and House & Garden.[5]

Teaching

Shechter was a lecturer at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design's external academy program, teaching entrepreneurship in design, styling, and art direction.

Personal Life

Shechter has been married to Gal Ben Artzi since 2021, and they have a son.
