Devil May Cry, also known as Adi Shankar's Devil May Cry, is an upcoming adult animated urban fantasy action television series created by Adi Shankar and based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name by Capcom. Produced by Studio Mir in South Korea, the series is scheduled for an April 2025 release on Netflix.[1]

[edit]In late 2018, Adi Shankar announced to produce the TV series adaptation of Devil May Cry for Netflix.[3][4] Alex Larsen was hired as a writer for the series.[5][6] The first season will consist of 8 episodes.[7][8][9]
In late September 2023, the first-look teaser was released during Netflix's Drop 01 livestream.[10] Shortly after, Dante's long-time English voice actor, Reuben Langdon, revealed that he was not asked to reprise his role.[11] It was revealed in September 2024 that Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the games, would be taking on the role of Dante for the series.[2]
Release
[edit]By September 2023, a first-look teaser trailer was released along with the news that Studio Mir would be producing and animating the series.[10][12] A second teaser trailer was released on September 19, 2024.[1]
