Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharya College, established in 1985,[1] is an undergraduate college in Ramrajatala, Jagacha, (P.O. Santragachi), in Howrah district of West Bengal, India. It offers only courses in arts and commerce. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.[2] The college was named after educationist and politician Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharyya.
Departments and courses
[edit]The college offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses and aims at imparting education to the undergraduates of lower- and middle-class people of Santragachi and its adjoining areas.[3]
Arts & Commerce
[edit]Arts and Commerce faculty consists of departments of Bengali, English, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, and Commerce.
Accreditation
[edit]Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharya College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1] It has been re-accredited and awarded B grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[4]
