3rd & Ferry Fish Market is a restaurant in Easton, PA. It was established by current owners Mike Pitchetto, and his wife Rebecca in 2013[3] The building was built in 1847, as a hall gathering for the International Order of Odd Fellows but later became a Masonic hall. Then it became a furniture store under the Lipkin's Furniture company, which operated in the building for 72 years, until it closed in 2007. [4] [5]
History
[edit]Hall Gathering
[edit]In 1847, the International Order of Odd Fellows bought the building where 3rd and Ferry currently stands today, becoming a Masonic hall much later. It was bought by Cecil Lipkin, owner of a furniture store in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
Lipkin's Furniture Store
[edit]In 1935, Cecil Lipkin, (born August 11th, 1911) owner of a furniture store in Coatesville, bought the Masonic Hall, renovating and turning it into Lipkin's Furniture Store. For 72 years Lipkin's Furniture Store stayed up, until 2005, when on February 8th, 2005, Cecil died of unknown causes. 2 years later, the building was sold.
