Accent is a Belgian company specialized in temporary employment, recruitment and HR services. Founded in 1995 in Roeselare, it operates over 250 offices in Belgium and is part of the European HR holding House of HR.
Overview
[edit]Accent is part of the group House of HR, which has been majority-owned since 2022 by the American investment fund Bain Capital[1]. The company employs approximately 1,200 internal staff across Belgium.
History
[edit]The company was founded in 1995 by Conny Vandendriessche and Philip Cracco. In 2012, the holding company House of HR was established to consolidate Accent and its related businesses, enabling international expansion.
Accent grew from one office in 1995 to over 250 by 2025. It provides temporary employment, permanent recruitment, and temp-to-perm contracts. More than 18,000 people are placed into jobs each year via Accent.

International recruitment
[edit]Since 2008, Accent has developed “Foreign Offices” to recruit international talent for shortage occupations in Belgium. The company operates offices in Portugal, Spain, Poland, and Romania, and collaborates with partners in Moldova, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
Digital tools
[edit]In 2019, Accent launched the MyAccent mobile app to simplify the candidate journey. The app allows users to apply for jobs, manage administrative documents, follow up on assignments, and prepare for their first day at work.[3][4]
Other digital services include the NOWJOBS app for short-term jobs and the GIGHOUSE platform for freelance assignments.

In 2023, the group inaugurated its European headquarters in Kortrijk, named The Crib.
