AirMedCare Network (AMCN) is a United States-based alliance of air medical transport providers offering emergency and non-emergency air ambulance services. Established in 2010, the network provides rapid-response critical care air transport to patients in both urban and rural areas across 38 states, ensuring timely access to advanced medical facilities.
Overview
[edit]AirMedCare Network operates the largest domestic air ambulance membership program in the United States. The organization partners with numerous regional providers to maintain over 320 bases. Each base operates state-of-the-art aircraft with specially trained medical professionals.
AMCN offers membership programs that allow individuals to access air ambulance services without incurring additional out-of-pocket costs, as long as the transport is conducted by a participating provider.
Membership Programs
[edit]Emergent Air Ambulance Services
[edit]These services transport patients from accident scenes or between healthcare facilities. Initiated by EMS or physicians, these flights use medically equipped aircraft capable of life support and critical care.
Fly-U-Home (Non-Emergent)
[edit]The Fly-U-Home program enables members hospitalized more than 150 nautical miles from home within the continental United States to be transported to a facility closer to home for continued treatment.
Fly-U-Home International
[edit]Launched in 2024, this program expanded AMCN's reach globally, including to Alaska and Hawaii. Repatriation services are offered using specially outfitted aircraft and medical crews.
Eligibility
[edit]Membership is not available to individuals enrolled in Medicaid.
