Ajantha Seneviratne is a prominent Sinhala novelist, short story writer, poet, and Business Management Writer from Sri Lanka. He has published several English works as well. He translated the world-famous "Who Moved My Cheese" book by Dr. Spencer Johnson to Sinhala. Ranked among the pioneer professionals of the ICT, Marketing, and Television industry in Sri Lanka, he has unique experience and expertise in the market, affording him a deep understanding of the socio-economic factors of the general public, consumer behavior, emerging market trends, risks, and critical business drivers.
• He was recognized as one of the "Top Ten Game-Changing Sri Lankans of the Year (2018) by Softlogic Life Sri Lanka. • He was honored to receive the Golden MACO Award 2010 from the Mass Communication Association of Sri Lanka. • He was awarded the prestigious "KIWIPATHI" and "KAWYA SHAKTHI" titles in recognition of his excessive contribution to the poetry art field of Sri Lanka.
About Life
He was born on 7 April 1962 in Pelmadulla, Ratnapura District, Sri Lanka. He received his primary and secondary education from five colleges, namely, Primary School, Pelmadulla, Gamini Vidyalaya, Ampara, Senanayaka Central College, Ampara, Madampe Central College, Chillaw, and Royal College, Colombo. Ajantha graduated from the University of Moratuwa and received a B.Sc. Engineering degree in electronics and telecommunications. He received his Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from the Open University, Colombo. He received his Master's in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management at Sri Jayawardena University. He was awarded a doctorate for his exceptional contribution to business management. He is an accredited Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka. He received a Certificate in Telecommunication and Technology Management, offered jointly by Multimedia University, Malaysia, and NTT Japan. He served as a member of the faculty of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) and participated as a resource person to coach international telecom companies.
In honor of Ajantha Seneviratne's contribution to Sinhala poetry, he was awarded the "Kiwipathi" and "Kawayashakthi" titles by Aganuwara Tharuna Kawi Sangamaya.
He is the founder of the Local Variety Television Channel "Charana TV," which has created a distinguished position with a top ranking in the minds of Sri Lankan television viewers who are seeking quality entertainment and infotainment.
