Career
[edit]Traiger began his career in the 1980s during Brazil’s música popular brasileira (MPB) movement. He gained prominence managing Tom Jobim’s international projects, including the album *Passarim* (1987), which earned Jobim a gold record. Traiger’s partnership with Quincy Jones included executive-producing Brazilian sessions for The Manhattan Transfer’s Grammy-winning album Brasil (1987), which won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals[1].
Traiger also managed Ivan Lins’s career and facilitated international tours for pianist César Camargo Mariano, including performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival. His company, Traiger Produções, founded in 1983, specialized in cross-cultural brand strategies and music production.

Personal Life
[edit]Traiger has been married to Renata Traiger since 1992. They reside in Rio de Janeiro and have one son, Ian Traiger (born 1995).
