Allianz Ayudhya is a Thailand-based insurance company and a subsidiary of the global Allianz Group. Headquartered in Bangkok, it provides a range of life and general insurance services, including health, motor, property, and travel insurance. The company operates nationwide through branches and local partnerships.

History

The company was founded in 1951. In the late 1990s, it became a joint venture between Thai investors and Allianz SE of Germany, forming Ayudhya Allianz C.P. PCL.[1]

Following changes in ownership, the company was rebranded as Allianz Ayudhya in 2012.

In 2022, Allianz Ayudhya General Insurance PCL acquired Aetna Thailand, expanding its offerings in the Thai health insurance market.[2]

Operations

Allianz Ayudhya offers life, health, motor, property, and travel insurance. As of 2024, the company operated 27 branches and employed over 1,400 staff across Thailand. In 2024, it launched the Allianz Commercial brand to serve mid-to-large corporate clients in property, construction, and marine sectors.[3]

Financial Performance

Allianz Ayudhya Capital Public Company Limited, the holding company for its Thai operations, reported a net profit of THB 708.51 million in Q1 2025, up from THB 540.49 million in Q1 2024.[4]

Products and Innovations

In 2024, the company introduced the Smart AI Claim system, allowing digital motor insurance claims to be submitted in under three minutes. The platform received the BUSINESS+ Product Innovation Award in 2024.[5]

Allianz Ayudhya also collaborates with Bangkok Dusit Medical Services to offer targeted health plans and digital health tools.
