Asif Ayoob

Asif Ayoob (born June 27, 1995) is an Indian social entrepreneur and diplomat appointed as special advisor to the Secretary-General of Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM), an autonomous intergovernmental organization with observer status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council.[1] In 2024, Ayoob co-founded Bhailog, a technology platform for migrant workers that was officially launched by the Chief Minister of Kerala.[2] The platform provides employment matching services and access to social welfare programs for interstate migrant workers in India.[2]. He was earlier the Spokesperson to the Hon. Consulate of Republic of Seychelles in Bengaluru and Goodwill Ambassador on Bilateral and Multilateral Affairs of IIMSAM. In 2018, Ayoob represented the Government of Kerala at the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the START seminar on sustainable development, organized by the UN Department of Global Communications. He addressed homelessness solutions through university-local government partnerships.[3]

Ayoob's 2024 appointment was publicly announced by IIMSAM, tasking him with representing the organization at UN-affiliated forums on sustainable development and migrant welfare.[1]. He has been pivotal in various diplomatic interventions during his tenure in former roles.
