Avi Aburomi (Hebrew: אבי אבורומי, born January 16, 1996) is an Israeli singer-songwriter and actor.
Biography
[edit]Avi Aburomi was born in Eilat, Israel to Muslim parents, Arab Israelis originally from Nazareth. Growing up, Aburomi was enrolled in Jewish schools, celebrated Jewish holidays and had Shabbat dinner with his Jewish friends. At the age of 12, Aburomi's father passed away. This lead Aburomi to being more mature at a younger age especially having to take care of his two younger siblings. Aburomi was born Muslim but converted to Judaism at the age of 18. He enlisted in the IDF and was able to complete an Orthodox conversion via a specialized track for soldiers.[1]
Music career
[edit]Aburomi released his first song "תדעי לך" "you know" in 2016. In 2021 Aburomi released his first album "סיבה לנשום" "A reason to breathe." In 2022 Aburomi released his hit single "ספרי להם הכל" "Tell them everything" which has 6 Million streams on Spotify and reached top charts in Israel. In 2024 Aburomi released his first EP which was self titled, "אבי אבורומי" "Avi Aburomi." The top song being "אחת המטורפות" "One of the Craziest." On January 16, 2025 Aburomi released "עדיין מוזר לי" "Still weird to me"
Acting career
[edit]Aburomi plays "Muhammad" in season 4 of Fauda. He only makes 4 appearances in the show. His first appearance is season 4 episode 3. and his last appearance is season 4 episode 12. Aburomi plays "Adam" in Israeli show "Three"
