Aviatrix Systems, Inc. (commonly referred to as Aviatrix) is an American cloud network security company based in Santa Clara, California. Founded in 2014, the company provides a platform designed to manage networking, security, and visibility across multiple cloud service providers.

History

Aviatrix was founded in 2014. In June 2023, Doug Merritt was appointed Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President.[1] Merritt previously served as CEO of Splunk from 2015 to 2021.[2][3] Prior to Splunk, he held executive roles at Cisco, SAP, and other technology firms.[4]

The company was listed on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for three consecutive years (2020–2022).[5] In 2025, Aviatrix has partnered with companies such as Megaport.[6]

Funding

Aviatrix has raised approximately $350 million in funding. In September 2021, the company announced a $200 million Series E funding round,[7] which brought its valuation to $2 billion.[8]

Aviatrix's cloud networking platform enables enterprises to deploy consistent network architectures across public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The platform emphasizes security, visibility, and operational control for hybrid and multicloud environments.[9]

In 2024, Aviatrix launched its Cloud Network Security Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), aimed at addressing security gaps in cloud network infrastructure.[10]
