After HQLabs was acquired by BID Equity, the founding team reinvested in their new venture—awork.[2] In January 2023, the company closed a €5 million Series A funding round led by Hi Inov-Dentressangle and Swiss Post Ventures, supporting product development, team expansion, and international growth.[3] By mid-2025, awork expanded into the United Kingdom.[4] As of 2025, the company employs over 50 people and has an estimated annual revenue of US$7.5 million.[5]
