Chenyi Ang is a Malaysian technology strategist, AI governance advisor, and standards contributor known for his work on AI red teaming, regulatory frameworks, and ESG-aligned software innovation. He is the inventor of a patent-pending AI red teaming tool, a framework that uses generative adversarial networks (GANs) and reinforcement learning (RL) to simulate adversarial threats against AI systems. A detailed report describing the tool was published on Zenodo in 2024.[1]
Ang is the founder of MNA Ventures, a firm providing advisory services on mergers and acquisitions of technology companies, AI regulation, and digital governance. He was previously CEO of Go-Mad.AI, a food intelligence startup that promoted AI-driven nutrition awareness.[2]
He contributed expert feedback to the Model Governance Framework for Generative AI, published in 2024 by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the AI Verify Foundation. His involvement was through the Chartered Software Developer Association (CSDA), which was listed in the framework’s acknowledgment section.[3]
In 2025, Ang submitted written recommendations to the U.S. National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource Task Force, highlighting the relevance of AI red teaming for global AI assurance practices.[4]
Ang is also a member of the Regulation and Policy Working Group under Malaysia’s National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO), where he contributes to national risk classification and AI governance strategies.[5]
