Submission declined on 9 May 2025 by Heavy Grasshopper (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Comment: We need independent, reliable sources that significantly feature the subject. Please do read WP:BIO in detail. Sources relating to his alma mater are not independent. A LinkedIn link is of no value. Being acknowledged in an academic article does not particularly help either. Independent meaning the subject should have no particular association with the publisher. The 40 under 40 feature could perhaps be relevant; I can't access it to know how in-depth it is but suspect it would fail WP:SIGCOV. In any case it would be insufficient by itself. Christopher Profeta is an American supply chain management executive and community leader based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the Senior Director of Supply Chain and Publishing Operations at Carnegie Learning, where he oversees logistics and content distribution across global educational markets.
Career
[edit]Profeta has held leadership roles at Amazon, Tesla, and Carnegie Learning. While living in Chicago, he played a key role in Amazon’s early Midwest logistics expansion, managing fulfillment and delivery operations during a period of rapid infrastructure growth. At Carnegie Learning, he leads supply chain strategy and publishing operations, with oversight of global distribution systems and print production workflows.[1]
Earlier in his career, Profeta worked in New York City, managing operations and launch projects across major metropolitan markets. He helped implement Rent the Runway’s national dropbox program, leading the rollout across 16 U.S. cities and coordinating logistics for its launch.[2]
Civic Engagement
[edit]Profeta is active in Pittsburgh’s civic and nonprofit communities. He currently serves as president of the Allegheny HYP Club, a private social club in downtown Pittsburgh.[3] He is also the Vice Chair of the Young Professionals Board at Light of Life Rescue Mission, a nonprofit serving individuals experiencing homelessness.[4]
He has served on the Complete Streets Advisory Group for the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI), participated in the Clean and Safe Committee of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and held a board seat at the Petroleum Club of Pittsburgh.
Profeta previously served on the board of the ASCM Pittsburgh Chapter (Association for Supply Chain Management) and helped organize the region’s first intercollegiate supply chain case competition in 2022.[5] He co-founded the Supply Chain Management Case Competition at Duquesne University, an annual event involving students from universities across the region.[1]
Profeta has also provided insight to academic research. A 2025 article by researchers Mauricio Sauma-Webb and Bernardo F. Quiroga acknowledged Profeta for contributing managerial insights during the development of a behavioral supply chain study.[6]
Recognition
[edit]In 2025, Profeta was named one of Duquesne University’s "Dukes from the Last Decade," an honor recognizing alumni who have demonstrated significant professional and civic achievement within ten years of graduation.[1] That same year, he was named to the *New Pittsburgh Courier*'s "Fab 40 Under 40" list, celebrating influential young professionals in the region.[7]
Personal life
[edit]Profeta lives in Pittsburgh with his fiancée, Abby Dare, a medical physicist. The couple is planning a wedding at Kilkea Castle in Ireland in 2026. Outside of work, he enjoys music, mentoring students, and spending time with their miniature Australian Shepherd, Penny.
